A little bit about treatment plants....
Treatment plants are the modern version of a septic tank. Despite being the more expensive option, they are becoming increasingly more popular due to the environmental benefits. The discharge from the plant is cleaner than that from a septic tank and so can be discharged into a water course (subject to permission from the relevant authorities). They are therefore the ideal solution in difficult circumstances such as the property being close to a river or high water tables and flood plains.
The treatment plant can be discharged into a soakaway depending on the results of the soil percolation test.
